Thanks for visiting the Royal Oak Schools Performing Arts Committee webpage.  We have some of the most talented performers in the state and our goal is to help provide facilities and equipment that match their excellence.  Our first project is to replace the aging 57 year old seats in the Royal Oak High School Auditorium.  The pricetag is $100,000 and we are well on our way to reaching this goal by Summer Break 2016.  But we need your help!  Donate a little, or a lot.  Just think, if we accomplish this goal, we can continue this next year and do something else great for the students!

ARTS BEATS AND EATS VOLUNTEERS
THANK YOU!

I don’t think the words Thank You are sufficient enough praise.

We were so moved and impressed when we saw our yellow ROSPAC shirts everywhere over the weekend.

At the Beer Tent, there were people in yellow shirts volunteering attached to the the Band, Orchestra, Choir, Drama Club, and plenty of other “interested parties” making friends and selling beverages to some thirsty people.  We heard from lots of Arts Beats and Eats staffers how impressed they were with our showing.  We were very organized, friendly and energetic.  This showed in sales directly.  We sold THREE TIMES AS MANY BEVERAGES as the charity which manned the booth in 2014!  Amazing!
We were OVERWHELMED when we saw 74 ROSPAC volunteers jammed into the third floor of the First United Methodist Church for our training prior to hitting the gates on Monday afternoon.  Again, Arts Beats and Eats were impressed with our numbers, especially as the charity before us bailed out on their commitment at the last minute.  There were nothing but compliments for ROSPAC from all of the employees involved at the games.  Great Job!

We will still say THANK YOU to everyone involved because seeing the sea of yellow ROSPAC shirts wandering the festival gave us great joy, as it should to you for being part of something bigger than all of us!

Although the final numbers are not in and could be effected positively or negatively by attendance, we do have some preliminary fundraising results from your efforts at Arts Beats and Eats.
Estimated Donation from the Gate Volunteers was $8,500.  The Estimated Donation from Beer Tent was $3,500.  We received cash donations at the beer tent of $683.00 over the four days.  That’s a total of $12,683.00 in 4 days!  Since it was sunny, warm and devoid or rain over Labor Day, we expect only positive changes.  Congratulations and Thank You!

We will keep the momentum in our quest to raise $100,000 to replace the ROHS Auditorium seats.  We are open to any and all fundraising opportunities in the meantime, now that we know we have a very interested and active group of volunteers to call in for help.

We will keep you in the loop.
